Varsity Track and Field - Lilburn


Track and Field – OC competed in the Need for Speed track and field meet at Lilburn Friday night.  Against 12 teams the Patriot boys placed 4th overall while the girls were 11th. 
        Maurice Freeman led the way for Oglethorpe winning the high jump with a meet record of 6-08 and the 300 meter dash with a time of 25.58.
        In other events the 800 relay team of Sherman Williams, Deuntrez Fleming, Maurice Freeman and Justin Whitman were fifth at 1:37.22; Xavier Eberhart in the triple jump came in seventh at 40-07’ Cody Cinereski was fifth in the discus at 120-0; Tron Armstrong was seventh in the 300 meter sprint at 38:63; Jarrett McElheney was sixth in the pole vault at 10-0; Justin Whitman was fourth in the 1200 meter run at 3:25.57; Kendrick Presley was fourth in the 60 meter hurdles at 8:92; Sherman Williams was fifth in the 60 meter dash at 7:41; and Dillon Evans tied for fourth in the pole vault at 10-06. 
        For the girls Aubrey Fearnow came in first with a meet record of 113 feet in the discus while Hannah Murphy came in second in the pole vault with a jump of 7-06. 
        OC’s next meet will be Wednesday, March 14th at home against East Jackson, Jackson Co and Warren Co.
