Golf – The Oglethorpe golf team defeated Hart Co 164-171 Thursday. Hart County is the defending region champs. Nathan Mallonee, Jake O’Bryan and Jim Beatty lead the Patriots. Mallonee and O’Bryan both shot 2 over par and Beatty chipped in with four over par. Kory Lott also did well. Ben Giles and Jonah Ingram posted their lowest scores of the season to date.
OC plays in the Hart County Invitational Tournament at Hartwell Country Club next Friday, March 16th. This will be the Patriots first major 18 hole tournament of the season.
