2012 Diamond Day

OC vs. Washington – Wilkes - OC had their 2012 Diamond Day baseball tournament against Washington – Wilkes and Grovestown.  First up for OC was WW.  Five innings later OC had the win 11-0.
Clay Ogle (2-1) started on the mound for OC and quickly ended WW’s at bat.  OC jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning with runs from both Nick Matthews (two hits, two runs and two RBI's) and Matt Beyatt (one hit, two runs).  These runs, as were many of OC’s runs, were the result of WW errors.   OC would leave one runner on base by the time the side was out.
Neither team did much in the second inning.  In the third, however, OC scored three runs; two were a consequence of Tiger errors while the third was a Taylor Liedberg (two hits and two RBI's).  OC would score three runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth.  The ballgame came to an end in the fifth when OC went ten runs ahead of WW.
